Volunteer Information

Volunteer

You can make a difference when you volunteer, because without volunteers like you we could not operate. We rely on the assistance of volunteers to fill many rolls in all of our programs. Volunteers provide administrative and classroom support to our instructors in the humane education classes and programs. They help with administrative duties, fundraising projects, public relations efforts, information technology and data entry, facilities maintenance and special projects. They also help us by answering phones and because the success of Habersham Humane Society is attributable in large part to the efforts of our volunteers, we encourage our volunteers to suggest ways to improve the quality of our services.

About Volunteering
Being a volunteer can be extremely rewarding, educational and fun. You can develop new skills, meet new people, acquire work experience, and most importantly, contribute to the development of a more humane community. In order to volunteer, you must meet the volunteer requirements, complete a Volunteer Application, meet with our Volunteer Coordinator, attend a volunteer orientation, and if appropriate to the particular program, attend training class.
