Fourth Annual Golf Tournament

June 18, 2019

The Habersham Humane Society will host the Fourth Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at The Orchard Golf & Country Club in Clarkesville, Georgia. The 2018 tournament was a huge success due to the incredible support of our many corporate and local business partners. Together, you make it possible for HHS to exist, and to continue fulfilling of our mission.

We were able to raise over $25,000 from this one event which provided us the necessary funds to reach our annual goals:

  • Purchase of a new transport van!   This large new van means that over 350 animals can be transported into new and loving homes in Maine through our partnership with Road Trip Home in 2019 — triple our 2018 transport total!
  • Placed 250 animal-themed books in area elementary schools through our Humane Education Program.
  • Furnished the new Animal Care & Control office at Habersham Fairgrounds, providing ACC staff with a large, bright and organized workspace.
  • Through our partnership with Purina, 70,000 lbs. of dog and cat food were donated to the Habersham Animal Shelter.
  • Enabled foster & transport service for 116 dogs & cats.
  • Provided low-cost spay/neuter services for 271 animals.
